LJScripts Rotator v1.3 Setup Instructions

  1. Upload the index.php, urlz, lastvisit and configuration.php files to any folder on your site.

  2. Note: most late version cpanel servers does not need this step...

    CHMOD the above files to:

    urlz - 0777 (rwxrwxrwx)
    configuration.php - 0777 (rwxrwxrwx)
    index.php - 0755 (rwxr-xr-x)


  3. Go to:

    http://www.your-site.com/rotator_folder/?admin=edadmin - change password/username
    http://www.your-site.com/rotator_folder/?admin=edurls - add/edit URLs

    http://www.your-site.com/rotator_folder/ - Your rotator

    First time login details:

    Username: admin_username
    Password: password

    NOTE: The admin username has an underscore ( _ ) character. If you are having problems logging in after
    the install copy and paste the above login details into the login form.

Update Log

1.0.1 Update:
Rotator configured for PHP 4.0.6 and under.

1.0.2 Update:
No need to restart your browser when changing the username and/or password.

1.1 Update:
Crypt function changed to md5. Now uses PHP sessions instead of Basic Realm for administration area.

Add and delete multiple URL's

1.2 Update:
Fixed bug when deleting URLs on some servers.
Rotator is now PHP v5 and v6 compatible

1.3 Update (By Anders Eriksson, http://www.Ask-Anders.com):
Removed random rotation and replaced it with 1-2-3-N-1-2-3-N-1...

Added cookies to track return visitors to make sure they rotate all sites. Returning visitors does not affect the global rotation.

Added the note on step 2 in the setup instructions (this document): no need to CHMOD
